July has seen a number of product and website launches, and with students around the United Kingdom graduating, we’re incredibly proud to share our work in collaboration with the University for the Creative Arts launching not one, but two virtual experience sites, Online Graduation Shows and Virtual Open Days
The University for the Creative Arts is one of the UK’s leading creative Universities. With five campuses dotted throughout the UK and a huge variety of creative courses, from Film & TV, Textile, Print, Media to Advertising, it produces some of the brightest, creative and talented graduates each year.
Graduation shows – which are usually held on-campus – give friends, family, the public and potential employers the ability to see the graduating students’ work. With increasing interest from around the World and desire to promote the students work to a wider audience, the Virtual Graduation show website provides a place for the 800 plus student to share their amazing work.
Commissioned just prior to lockdown, the virtual emphasis of the project grew in importance as the situation through March and April developed.
Working remotely, the Lightflows team worked closed with UCA Farnham’s marketing team to develop a content-rich, app-like experience with mobile-first website design. With the students work being the sole focus, the site was designed to be quick and easy to navigate, with a social media like media-rich user interface.
To complement the virtual graduation shows, a sister site for virtual open days invites new or potential students to explore the University’s facilities in a media-rich and colourful environment. The site features lots of videos and gives an in-depth overview of each of the campuses and a wide range of courses available.
From all of the team at UCA, We really appreciate the hard work that you and the team have put into them over the past few months.
Both sites have been incredibly well received at all levels through the University and the feedback from the students has been amazing too. Look out for in-depth case studies on both projects coming shortly.
